My economic expertise is based on my sound academic education and my extensive experience as researcher in leading German research institutes (DIW Berlin, Macroeconomic Policy Institute/IMK at the Hans Boeckler Foundation). Inter alia I participated in the Spring and Autumn Expertises on “The Situation of the World Economy and the German Economy” for the German Government (known as “Gemeinschaftsdiagnose” or “Joint Forecast”). I have coordinated international projects (e.g. for the European Commission), set up and managed the IMK at the Hans Boeckler Foundation and prepared expertises for German federal ministries. In numerous presentations at international workshops and conferences as well as courses for employees of foreign ministries (Cuba, Ukraine, Kazakhstan) I shared my knowledge with a large audience.

In my research I apply state-of-the-art econometric methods and use various software packages depending on the respective research issue. I am part of an extensive network of experienced economists with whom I cooperate to implement large projects.


My working languages German, English, Russian, French, Spanish and Polish give me access to extensive sources of information and provide an ideal basis for international projects.
